Val and I were joined by Blakey, or Andrew Blake, the enabler of Melbourne’s bike world, for an episode of the Yarra BUG Radio Show. After meandering through some recent news we moved on to chat about Melbourne Gravel Grinders in general, and their recent 11th ride in particular.

There is another ride coming up soon so now might be a good time to catch up with this podcast. It’s actually from the 5th of May so has taken me a while to get around to putting it up. In the iTunes list it’s dated, strangely enough, May 4th. No photos from the studio as dropping my phone in the sink was only one of that mornings many disasters! The Flipster on the Yarra BUG Radio Show at 3CR Community Radio

Val and I had a studio guest lined up for this week’s show who, at the last minute, was unable to make it. It’s school holidays and the Flipster had accompanied me to the 3CR studio, so he became our studio guest!

He’s been reluctant to speak when in the studio before and was adamant this time that he didn’t want to say anything, but ended up joining in and by the end of the programme wanted to do it again. We may have started something!

Ride to School Day on 3RRR

I joined the always lovely Kulja Coulston on 3RRR’s The Grapevine last Monday morning to talk about Ride to School Day. Also a guest in the studio was Dr Ben Rossiter from Victoria Walks talking about their initiative Walk the Block later in the week. We delved into the always sensitive topic of riders and pedestrians sharing spaces, and footpaths, just to spice things up! You can check out the podcast here is you’re so inclined.
