Spring seems to be springing quite early this year. This despite the fact that I personally, am freezing! Still, the garden definitely thinks something is up. I was looking the other way and before I knew it the asparagus had gone feral in ways that left the more virtuous of our visitors blushing. Now we know why this variety is called ‘fat bastard’! The quince is blossoming even though it hasn’t yet lost all of its old leaves and our mulberry tree is covered in fruit! While our lazy pekins have not resumed laying after their winter hiatus from what I hear just about every other chook in Brunswick has!
